Green
I love this room. This is the "green room". It used to be the cat's room but we turned it into a reading room. We did not completely kick him out, his bed is still tucked away in the corner, mostly because it matches the room.
This room is like a warm hug. When the furnace kicks on it gets nice and cozy and you just want to curl up with a good book and forget the rest of the world exists. I showed this picture at work and one of the ladies replied "Wow! You have a lot of books." I looked at the picture, looked at her, looked at the picture and said "You have no idea."
As of the last update on March 4th, we officially had 1,884 books, but that changes weekly. I started to count the bookshelves in each room, and by the time I finished she just stared at me with a blank look on her face. I don't think she gets into books too much.
Of course, the whole reason for having bookshelves throughout the house is so the cat has several places to sleep....
This picture was taken after we bought the bookshelves in the "green room" and were in the process of moving books around. Big mistake. As soon as we emptied a shelf, the cat would claim it as his and he didn't like the idea of us moving him so we could put other books in his place.
Also, we bought another car. It's "smokey grey". We opted for another Subaru Forester. I love it. It's pretty.

Let me see if I have all the facts, 1) First the poor little kitten has it’s cute adorable picture removed from the Internet to make room for the wallet picture people. 2) Next the poor thing is attacked verbally (by one of the wallet picture people), over the Internet and branded a “Devil Cat” (or should those be smart quotes, don’t know or care as these as the only ones I have). Now in retrospect I see it was to probably discredit the sweet little thing for this diabolical, cruel, hostel take over. 3) Now it’s room, the one the poor little kitty was forced to (by the wallet picture people), the same one the poor little kitty finally came to peace with (in spite of the wallet picture people), the one and only thing the poor little kitty could claim as its own, has been, with malice (word of the day) yanked out from under it so to speak. And finally D) When this poor little kitty, totally exhausted from this terrible traumatic experience collapses, it is pushed off the very shelves that now occupied a place the poor little kitty use to call home(and by no less the wallet picture people). I’m sure the poor little kitten will enjoy watching lonesome, tear in eye, through the window as you snuggle up in its former room enjoying your “book hugs”. And you wonder why it HISSES.Please excuse any spelling errors as it is hard to see what I am writing thru the tears I shed, for this poor little kitten.Times like this I regreat being a man of very few words, as I would stand boldly on a soap box and wave my banner high for this cute cuddly warm fuzzy kitten's clause!
I love the room and feel sorry for the poor kitty but my burning question is Where did you find the bookshelves? I can't find any I like. =(

How is it that a cat who is constantly biting me (not in the playful cute way, but in a painful draws blood kind of way) can attain so much empathy? Besides, he likes the room, too.
The shelves came from Furniture Row Outlet on East State Street. That was the day I finally listened to Miss Biller (and you? or was it L?) and went to IKEA. We found what we wanted but they did not have it in stock so we came back to Rockford and drove around town until we found those.
I have to side with anonymous #1 in that I feel for the cat losing his space for the comfort of his human companions! That room should have remained the cat's room. If it were me, I would have tailored the room to the comfort of the cat and put the library elsewhere. (I do like the color, though. It is very earthy and relaxing.)You could have put in some really cool cat furniture so he would have something to play/hide in. Cats need things like that so they do not get bored, especially if he is exclusively an indoor cat. As far as the biting, he is clearly not happy about something (I wonder what) and that could be why he chooses to bite you. Might I suggest a good reference book to you on this particular subject matter. The name of the book is "How to Think Like a Cat" Forgive me, for I cannot recall at the moment who the author is, but I'm certain if you were to do a search that you would find said book. I have found it to be quite helpful. So, I leave this post for now with the words of Paul Harvey, Good Day!
Very good ideas, anonymous #2. That does sound like a good book to read, is this one that is found at a pet store or a bookstore? Well got to go, or in the immortal words, NOW FOR PAGE 2
This is an interesting post. I wonder what made this cat the way it is? Have you tried taking it places with you so it would feel part of the family? Does it get to eat with you or is it made to eat in a corner somewhere. Just wondering, wish the cat well.
It is very generous that the wallet picture people did not yank yet another small thing that shows some concern and passion to the poor little kitten that had been so unkindly declared “the devil cat”. I see however the chance to yet malign this poor little defenseless kitten, who can not speak in it’s own, (and as loyal as they are probably won’t speak against anyone), name and reputation…. As Teddy would say,… BULLY. BULLY to YOU! A #1
I agree, it sounds like the cat is bored. Is there any toys in the green room for it.
Well I am happy to see the lady in the Wallet picture has moved to a stress free job. I wonder if this will lead to a less stressful attitude to the poor little kitten, or just means more time at home to figure out ways to stress the poor little kitty. Of course I had not heard about it lately, no surprise there. I bet they even have a hole dug in their back yard just to scare the poor thing.
It seems this section is being a little forgotten. I say DON'T LET THE WALLET PEOPLE WIN! speak out to help the little kitten, if it is not to late. THINK ABOUT IT PEOPLE!!!!! Have anyone heard of it latley?????
WOW, I though you were raised to love all God's creatures. Now after looking at the pictures of the green room I now know why someone is making that poor cat a green blanket. HEY WAIT A MINUTE!!! Let me look at the pictures again,, yea,,yea,, it does,,it does!!!! It reminds me of the cat
ENOUGH ALL READY!! now they have brought in a long rat and are TALKING to it like they know what it is saying, THEY want a name for THAT. I got one for them, How about DINNER!!!!!!!!
Okay, Okay. Perhaps I was a bit hasty. After all, the ferret and I do look really cute when we are cuddled up together. I think we'll keep him, and give him a good name...
They must of drug cheyenne.
